OCTOBER 24, 2025

THE LATEST UPDATES

Issue Resolved

Sycle has continued to monitor the Windows Update impact on the Sycle Noah Sync application. Based on our latest internal testing, Microsoft has addressed the issue in a subsequent Windows update.

If you previously removed any of the following updates — KB5066835, KB5066131, or KB5065789 — we recommend allowing them to be reinstalled through Windows Update along with any other available updates.

Additionally, if you had paused Windows Updates, please resume automatic updates to ensure your system remains current and secure.

THE SOLUTION

Uninstall KB5066835

Please also note that Windows will try to reinstall that update, so it is recommended to pause Windows Updates until this is resolved. Steps you can take immediately are provided below.

Remove the KB5066835 update:

  • Go to Windows Update (press Windows Key + I).
  • Select “Windows Update” on the left side.
  • Click “Update History”.
  • Scroll down find “Uninstall Updates” and click it
  • In this list find the KB5066835 update, then press “Uninstall” on it. You may need administrator access.
  • Confirm the action if a pop-up appears, then restart your computer if prompted.
  • Noah System and Noah ES should now function. If that is not the case, please also uninstall updates KB5066131 and KB5065789

Pause Windows updates for the time being:

  • Go to Windows Update (press Windows Key + I).
  • Select “Windows Update” on the left side.
  • Under “Pause Updates”, select “Pause for 1 week”
  • This should prevent the KB5066835 update from being installed for the next week.

Additional steps:
Some customers report that simply uninstalling the updates is not sufficient. In this case it may be necessary to disable HTTP2 until an update is released. Please see Microsoft Advisor guide to perform these steps here.
